FLIGHT FOR LIFE SNOWMOBILE POKER RUN
Join the Grand Lake Trailblazers Snowmobile Club and Denver’s Mile High Snowmobile Club the 3rd weekend in February each year as they co-host St. Anthony Health Foundation’s Annual Snowmobile Flight For Life Poker Run on the trails of Grand Lake!
Since its inception, the event has contributed more than $75,000 to Flight For Life Colorado. Past proceeds have assisted Flight for Life in obtaining a “Skills Lab on the Road.” Housed in a specially outfitted “bus,” this mobile training facility offers the latest life-saving technology onboard. Its two training spaces – a helicopter interior and an emergency room bay – features human simulators, which accurately mirror human responses to CPR, intubation, IV medication, ventilation and catheterization. The mobile “skills lab” travels to all FFL bases across Colorado, ensuring flight crews maintain the advanced skills that make FFL Colorado the leader in emergency transport.
“In its first 41 years, Flight for Life Colorado has transported more than 110,000 seriously ill and injured patients to the most appropriate medical destination, regardless of the patient’s ability to pay or insurance status. This nonprofit service relies on the generosity of donors to stay rescue-ready and flying.” https://www.stanthonyhealthfoundation.org/shf/news-and-events/snowmobile-for-life-poker-run/
