Come experience the premier U.S. Constitution Week Celebration in America held the 3rd week of September in Grand Lake, Colorado each year. This unique week-long event celebrates the U.S. Constitution in one of the most spectacular settings you can imagine at the west entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. There are multiple events every day during this week that finishes on Saturday with a parade, Keynote Speaker, non-profit Expo and Rotary Bingo in Town Park, and a spectacular FIREWORKS display over picturesque Grand Lake.
U.S. Constitutional Week celebrations include events every day during the week that highlight, educate and celebrate the U.S. Constitution. This includes having current U.S. Constitutional experts speak and answer questions about this important document.
According to Tom Goodfellow, the master mind behind this week long celebration, the seed for U.S. Constitution Week began in 2012 when Tom realized that the 4th of July is celebrated far and wide, but few even knew there was a Constitution Day. President Dwight Eisenhower adopted a Constitution Week in 1956, but it is poorly celebrated compared to its Independence Day cousin. One thing led to another, locals like Doris Braun inspired Tom to move forward, businesses got interested and voila, the U.S. Constitution Week in Grand Lake, Colorado, was born.
