Grand Lake kicks off the excitement this March with the 1st Annual “Holes for Heroes” Ice Fishing Contest, as well as one more chance to “Snowshoe the Wilderness” with a Park Ranger on the weekend of the 3rd and 4th. Rocky Mountain Repertory Theater tickets go on sale on the 7th with four great shows to choose from. The Peggy Mann Band will play a live music tribute to Bonnie Raitt on March 24th, and the Full Moon Ski will be to a very special Blue Moon on March 31st at the Grand Lake Nordic Center!

On March 3rd & 4th, the 1st Annual Catch & Release Tournament, “Holes for Heroes,” will make its debut on Grand Lake. This event is hosted by Granby Bait & Tackle and is put on by NHL Stanley Cup Champion #27 Scott Parker’s 501c3 Parker’s Platoon. This year’s proceeds will benefit the 501c3 non-profit “Fight Oar Die,” the first-ever all-American, Military Veteran, ocean-rowing team to race across the Atlantic Ocean. The weekend will be filled with parties every night, beginning with the VIP Party from 6-10pm on Friday night, March 2nd, at the O-A Bistro. Tickets are required for the VIP party, and include a meet and greet with Scott Parker, food and drinks. A cash bar will be available as well. On Saturday night, the party will be at the Lariat Saloon where contestants and guests are encouraged to eat, drink and socialize! The after party will be on Sunday at Pancho and Lefty’s. Tournament prizes will be awarded at 2:30pm, and you must be present to win. More information and registration available online.
