Grand Lake Memorial Day Parade
Celebrate Memorial Day and honor our United States Armed Forces in Grand Lake, home to one of the best Memorial Day parades in the state. Memorial Day is very important to us. We will be honoring all those who have served and sacrificed for our freedoms, and hold a special place in our hearts for our Grandfather who made the ultimate sacrifice in the Battle of the Bulge.
Private George P. Lonneville served in WWII as a member of Company A. 9th Armored Battalion, the 6th Division of the 1st Army. He was killed in action December 21, 1944 in the province of Moselle, France.
Even though we never met him, our Grandfather has walked with us every day through the voice of our loving Grandmother, Edna Lonneville, who will be 95 years-old in September. Thank you Grandpa and Grandma. We love you!
