Rocky Mountain Conservancy is offering several interactive and informative classes for youth this month. “Who Pooped in the Woods? A Mammal Mystery” will be held on July 13th from 9am-noon. “Bugs, Beetles & Butterflies: Tiny But Amazing Creatures of Rocky” will be held on July 20th, from 10-11:30am. “What’s Hiding Underwater” will be held on July 27th from 9am-noon. Grand Lake’s 71st Annual Buffalo Days will be held the weekend of Saturday, July 14th and Sunday, July 15th. Saturday’s festivities kick off with the 5K Buffalo Stampede at 8:30am and live music will follow in Town Park from 1-4pm. The Buffalo Parade will be held on Sunday at 1pm!
Enjoy Victorian Tea at the Historic Rapids Lodge in Grand Lake on July 17th from 2-4pm. Join the fun for $25 in advance (970-627-8324) or $30 at the door. Delicious food and champagne will be provided and you are welcome to borrow a Victorian hat at the event or bring your own!
Rocky Mountain Repertory Theater’s Annual Cabaret Fundraiser will be held at the Theater in Grand Lake on July 21st, from 5-10pm. Admission is $125. Be entranced and enthralled by our talented RMRT resident Company and 16-piece orchestra’s cabaret production. There will also be a silent auction, live auction, hors d-oeuvres, drinks, dancing, and live music. This fundraiser supports the General Operating Fund so we may enjoy outstanding theatrical performances for years to come! This month, don’t miss The Full Monty, Annie and A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder.
The FREE Grand Lake Classic Boat Show is July 28th from 9am-12:30pm at the Grand Lake Waterfront and Community House. Boat owners will be around to show off their (mostly wood) boats and answer questions during the in-water display, with a boat parade to follow. The boat show includes a wood paddle board display near the waterfront, and there will be a display and presentation at the Grand Lake Community House on the history of boating in Grand Lake.
